"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here."
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here - 1975

I love that song... heard it sung by a young girl at an obsequies a few weeks ago. It really was very touching. Thank you for uploading it. A very interesting pic too...

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
Texture, heh? I see you're trying new techniques. This one came out really nice. And the title makes me go speechless when looking at it. Got a few very sad and private memories connected to that song.
Now when I think about it.... I just have to fav it. It moved me much more than I expected when seeing the thumb
Hum hum hum.

Yes, I'm trying new things. Somehow it's quite scary all those things we can do on picutres... where will it stop?
Pictures tend to become as "poems" closer and closer from what I would like to express.
For this one, the song itself was the flame. I was having it on my head, in my heart, before I knew on which picture I will "work".

I need to try some textures as well.... Not that I'm not trying new stuff... but there's loads of it. Now I finally got hold of HDR, so it's time for more
Yes, I've noticed for your "misty harbour sunset". I like to read about the work behind.
Everytime I try a HDR with CS2, at some moment comes info that there's some component missing and it stops everything

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. Yes it is very touching song. The melody, the lyrics, its meanings...
